P!NK CELEBRATES 100 SHOWS

Last night in Sydney P!nk celebrated her 100th show on 'The Truth About Love Tour'! Yep, 100 shows all around the world! She was presented with this delicious, delicious cake. Nothing says 'Congratulations' like cake!

Congratulations to Pink, her amazing band, dancers and one of the hardest working crews in the business, on 100 incredible shows. It's been a pleasure catering for such a wonderful team of artists and crew.

SOUND (& RAIN) WAVE 2013

Let me just say that our team lives for these big festivals. With acts like... Metallica, Linkin Park, Blink 182, Perfect Circle, The Offspring, Paramore, Garbage, Tomahawk, Stone Sour, Kyuss Lives, Anthrax, Sum 41, Dragonforce, All Time Low, Fogging Molly... the list goes on and even included a band called 'Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!'  It's safe to say we were looking forward to this one!

We wanted to offer the artist, guests & crew something they had never seen before... we brought to the party Bad Betty Bakery, a rock'n'roll cupcake extravaganza! With lashings of frosting, chocolate sauce, cherries, sprinkles and leopard print... never have we seen so many bearded men with tattoos flock to a dessert buffet!

Lucy was there (she's our 1963 Datusn ute!) This year she brought to the party a veggie patch feast. We also served huge vats of iced tea, foot long hot dogs, gelato and of course a variety of hot dishes, salads, soups and crusty breads with every condiment found on the planet. Everyone visited our barista Dan who served up more coffees than any festival ever and made sure there was no bottom to our bottomless cookie jar!

The sporadic monsoonal rain may have delayed trucks and ruined mowhawks but it did nothing to dampen the spirits of the festival goers, artist or crew. Live music in Australia is well and truly kicking!

BIG DAY OUT 2013

With Big Day Out 2013 in full swing at Sydney Olympic Park the Star Grazers crew were working hard in the backstage area preparing meals and refreshments for the crew, artists and their guests. Headlining was the Red Hot Chili Peppers along side The Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses... the list is HUGE, see it in full here www.sydney.bigdayout.com

As always the crew strives to design and deliver a fresh, healthy meal plan that offers a variety of 'home away from home' meal options... plus a few sweet things to keep life on tour interesting.

The biggest hit was the Rockin' Taco bar serving pulled pork tacos with pineapple salsa, refried crazy bean tacos & shrimp tacos with verde salsa.

Everyone loves a good hot lunch and dinner when they've been working hard... so the grilled salmon was very popular. Followed by an 'old school' milkshake or banana split with ice-cream from the Retro Bar, served by diner girls to cool down.

All day coffee, bottomless cookie jar and even a chocolate fountain kept the dinning room full all day & night.

Who ever said Disneyland is the happiest place on earth obviously hasn't been to the Crew Dinning Area at a Big Day Out! Check out the photos below and click on them to enlarge.

Fight of the Conchords

Comedy duo Flight Of The Conchords very much anticipated first Australian tour has been a massive hit. Kiwi funny men Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement had a run of hilarious shows and we have had the privilege of providing some of their artist care and catering on their Sydney leg of the tour.

I bugged the chef until he told me some of the dishes he created for them... and this is what he told me (straight from the kitchen!)

Entree - Roasted cauliflower & porcini soup

Main - Cone Bay barramundi, scallop & prawn saffron pie

Dessert - Cinnamon & star anise spiced pears with warm vanilla custard & burnt marshmallows... Delicious!

On Tour with Little Monsters

We've just come back to base in Sydney for a few days before heading back on the road with the one and only LADY GAGA for her Born This Way Ball. Perth was incredible with 2 sold out shows at the Burswood Dome. We were catering for over 150 crew, guests and VIPs which is always a pleasure.

Our Sydney based team were busting to know all the goss from the GAGA tour but as always, my lips were sealed, but here's a peek at our crew passes. I can spill the beans that we will be catering for the Beach Boys & Pitbull both in Perth in the coming months so we're all excited about that.

Someone else (other than our mums) thinks we're cool!

Our spread from the G3 tour got a nice, honest review. Gotta be happy with that!
