The Star Grazers crew have just come off the back of a big Big Day Out tour, with 2 big shows in Sydney then packing all the gear up and heading to Perth for a show there. Did we mention it's been BIG? Sweltering heat did not faze the crew, who are used to it heating up in the kitchen, and the guests enjoyed freshly made mocktails, gelato and rock oysters... not all at the same time.No rest for the wicked, we're looking down the barrel of a long list of gigs this year and that means plenty of famous stomachs to feed, and not to forget their hard working crews and mooching friends and guests. We love it!
For some reason (maybe all that heat) I've got Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" lyrics stuck in my head. That song rose (pardon the pun) to fame after it appeared on the 1980 film Honeysuckle Rose which sounds like a
tasty cocktail. So here's a recipe we've created and we're dedicating to being back on the road again!Stay tuned for more updates from the kitchen. Although we've promised that 'what happens on tour stays on tour' we're going to give you a taste of life backstage.
Honeysuckle RoseMakes 1 drink
30ml / 1oz – 42 Below Honey Vodka
15ml / ½oz – Chambord
15ml – ½oz Rosewater Syrup
Soda water, to top
ice
Layer over ice and top with soda and a generous wedge of fresh lime (less lime if you prefer your drinks sweeter.)
